Abstract
Hedonic price model is utilized to examine the effect of characteristics of houses on their prices. Environment characteristics of houses are focused on in this research. The empirical study on the housing market of Jilin in China reveals that the hedonic prices of Environmental Attributes- Air pollution and Adjacent to the river 2008 are higher than that of 1998. Meanwhile, the hedonic prices of Structural Attributes 2008 and Locational Attributes- Accessibility to CBD 2008 are less than that of 1998. That indicates that the development of economy has multiplied the desire for environment.
