Abstract :
In this paper, a new design of magnetorheological (MR) mount was proposed. The current coils of the MR mount generated magnetic field and adjusted the viscosity of the magnetorheological fluid. The current coils were usually set with the inner piston, and were easily broken by vibration or friction. Here we constructed fixed coils into the MR mount. This design can protect coils and make control of MR mount easily. The capability of vibration isolation of the MR mount was proved by experiments using the well-known skyhook controller, as well as the fuzzy sliding mode controller (FSMC).
