Abstract
This paper describes a mobile phone application for safe driving that incorporates GPS and Bluetooth functions. The basic strategy is to prevent a collision between a pedestrian and an automobile within a specific range at an intersection. Position information is transmitted to each party, and if there is a risk of collision, the mobile phone as well as the automobile e-equipment generates an alarm signal. Here, we investigate the feasibility of the proposed application.
