  • Abstract
    Now,the most output of maps in China must conform to national specifications, however the famous GIS platform, ArcGIS, cannot meet these requirements from Chinese users. Consequently, on the basis of seriously comparing the national specifications with the cartographic symbols provided by ArcGIS, this paper offered the design and development of the scales and slope scales based on ArcEngine development toolkit, which are in accordance with national specifications. And the achievements have been employed in `Remote Sensing Research of National Island and Coast Line´.
