Abstract :
On the basis of analyzing the special requirements of multi-source image data management, we proposed to store and manage image data and its metadata integratively in object-rational database. In this paper, first we studied the storage model based on GeoRaster and the key technologies about image blocking, compressing, pyramid construction and spatial indexing. Then proposed a architecture of multi-source image database system. Finally based on GDAL and GeoRaster, we implemented an image database system of Client/Server structure for storing, querying and managing Remote Sensing data.
