Abstract :
The travel time is one of the most valuable traffic information among drivers because of playing an important role as the basis for dynamic route guidance system. The dynamic route guidance system is effective to reduce the congestion in urban road networks. This paper describes the analysis, measurement and estimation of link travel time by taking into account the traffic flow dynamics, signal control parameters and starting delay. Link travel time are simulated for a traffic network before and during rush hours in Fukuyama city, Japan.
