Abstract :
Based on the ArcGIS Server9.3 for java platform and ArcSDE for Mircrosoft SQL Server Express, we constructed a water resources consulting system. It adopts a B/S model of three-tier structure and uses some other popular technology, such as JSF, Ajax, Javascript. By using the convenient and perfect function of the map operation provided by GIS technology, the system can achieve a variety of functions, such as map browse, query, custom callout, dynamic adding point to layer and flashing alarm and so on.
