Abstract :
This paper derives a model of power-assistive machinery, Power Loader, with Virtual. Lab Motion. From simulation it has been confirmed that Power Loader satisfies a design specification to allow a human to perform heavy labor tasks which (s)he would not be able to complete using just her/his own body-strength. It is found that in order to satisfy this specification it is necessary to modify the decelerator from wave gearing to an epicyclic gear.
