Abstract
In this paper, a "V"-type structure of ±45° dual-polarized broadband base station antennas is presented. The simulated and measured results show that the antenna can cover 30% of the bandwidth when the VSWR is less than 1.4. Good radiation characteristics of the antenna are also observed, such as the cross-polarization ratio which is below -18dB at axis, -15dB at±60° and the front to back ratio which is below -27dB. Due to its compact structure and low cost advantages, it is easy to form arrays as an antenna element.
