This paper uses ESDA technology of spatial econometric to analyze the pattern and evolution of economic spatial structure in the Yellow River Basin from 1994 to 2009.The results show that weak autocorrelation of regional economic spatial structure in recent years and the overall trend of economic spatial disparities has been expanding; Shandong and Inner Mongolia are economic centers of the Yellow River Basin, of which the polarization effect is greater than diffusion effect and the role of growth pole is not obvious. In response to these problems, this paper proposes docking the Yellow River Basin and Binhai New Area and fostering growth poles within the region and so on in order to optimize the regional economic spatial structure, promote the economic development and achieve coordinated development of regional economies.
