Abstract :
Application-oriented institutes take in training higher application engineering and technical personnel as its goal, however, the education of application-oriented institutes mainly adopt the educational model of the traditional undergraduate, the major problems existing in our higher engineering education are the professional caliber stenosis, divorcing from engineering practice, neglect of practical link, and lack of engineer-typed teachers and so on. Considering the problems above, combined the actual situation of applied-oriented institutes engineering education, discussing the existing problems in applied-oriented institutes engineering education, according to CDIO engineering education idea, a case study of automobile major, reforming the syllabus of the engineering profession to engineering specialties, Applied-oriented institutes education innovating model is proposed.
