Abstract
Faculty currently uses high-speed Internet for learning and instruction in China. This paper is focus on faculty development education in China under the background of high-speed Internet. Internet may help faculty construct a personal linkage between their professional needs in teaching and research. Faculty development programs should emphasize teaching, learning, curriculum, discovery, and the needs of faculty and students. The research results indicate that active learning is integrated into instruction; greater student collaboration is taking place. More important, faculty development education is provided opportunities to develop skills-such as problem-solving and critical thinking-that transcend individual subjects.
