Abstract :
Accurate measurement is a foundation upon which accurate controlling for things rests. Based on the real-time monitoring of the statuses and behaviors of running software, we check whether they work normally or not, and then guide the abnormal operating conditions or behaviors onto the way in control to make sure the software service ability unchangeable. In certain circumstances, degraded running the software that does not affect the key features and not reduce the security performances is a very important way to improve the reliability and security of the software. In this paper, we design a monitoring and controlling model for running software based on software components technology and J2EE technology. We could monitor the statuses of running software accurately and control the behaviors of them effectively by using this model. It improves the reliability and controllability of software, and provides a relatively new thought for improving the quality of software.
