Abstract :
The author proposes a stochastic finite element numerical method which based on the theory of automatic differentiation and combined with the theory of finite element analysis, Prepare a calculation module program in Fortran 90 which directly converts general finite element analysis program into a stochastic finite element analysis program that can compute partial derivative of response. The benefit of this method is precise result of calculation and operation speed is fast. Example is application of stochastic finite element automatic differentiation method on analyzing random response of high pressure gas tank. The random variables are not only characters of loads and material but also dimension of geometry. It is especially for analyzing random response of engineering structure which stress and strain doesn´t have analytic solution but can be calculated by finite element method. It is useful tool in engineering.
