Abstract :
This paper discussed how to decide the yard truck (YT) fleet size and to allocate delivery jobs to YTs. A mixed-integer programming model was provided, which considering the operating property of twin 40-foot quay crane, and a heuristic algorithm for reducing the computational time was presented. A simulation study showed that the performance of the proposed algorithm has advantages over conventional dispatching rules.
