Abstract :
This paper presents a multi-modes motion modeling approach. By using multiple spring-dampers to describe the characteristics of the contact interface and the coupling of the principal motion and other vibrations, the mathematic and simulation models were established. Then, the effects of the contact interface on the system were discussed. The tests indicate that this approach is valid to describe the dynamic behavior of the linear motor drive unit of the machine tool.
