Abstract
This paper proposes an integrated motion control structure to realize the precise multi-axis movement controlling for high precision computer numerical control (CNC) system. On the base of the system model, three elements are applied: Zero Phase Error Tracking Controller (ZPETC), the state observer and the Cross Coupling Controller (CCC). ZPETC improves the frequency response of the tracking control system; the state observer extracts the information of rotor position and speed; while CCC reduces the contour errors between the axes. Simulation results show that the contouring error has been reduced significantly in the CNC system with the new motion structure.
