Abstract

In the cognitive radio the same band may be shared by several communication systems. In this framework, it is interesting to characterize and analyze the interference between co-existing communication systems sharing the same bands. We propose here a study of such influence of a wideband system on a classic narrow-band 3G-like communication system. The first part of the study is dedicated to characterize UWB interference frequency dependent behavior using UWB measurements database. The second part uses wideband/LTE-like interoperability testbed built at Eurecom to measure the interference effect of wideband systems on narrow band systems performance.
