Abstract :
An efficient approach for the design of substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filters is presented in this paper. The proposed design approach is based on the combined use of equivalent circuit models of SIW discontinuities and the space-mapping optimization. A “calibration” of the space mapping permits to design inline SIW filters with several poles without performing any full-wave analyses of the complete structure. The effectiveness of the proposed design technique is proved through an example.
