Abstract
A new method is proposed for wireless electric power transfer to an object in motion. It uses a directional coupler made of CRLH (Composite Right-Left Handed) line and PRH (Pure Right Handed) line. It is difficult to make the length of a conventional TEM directional coupler small in lower frequency such as the MHz band, because the electric length of coupling line is inversely proportional to the operating frequency. Thus, we propose to use a CRLH TL for the coupler. It allows us to downsize the coupler significantly.
