Abstract :
The TEM horn with an elliptic plate separation has been shown to have exceptional impedance and radiation properties when combined with an optimal plate width function. In this paper, a horn that has a superellipse as the plate separation function, is described. The horn width varies as an ellipse, and the gain and E-plane radiation performance exceeds that of the elliptic horn.
