Abstract
For the first time real time spatial focussing in a reverberation chamber is experimentally demonstrated at 2.4 GHz using active analogue phase conjugation techniques only. The focussing action of CW and re-transmitted pulsed CW signals is investigated. Field localisation within the chamber is shown to occur within 1 λ (125 mm) around the pilot source position with significant randomised field away from this position due to the multipath rich environment that exists within the chamber. These properties indicate that the construction of a multi-access communications systems operating within a normally hostile propagation environment should be viable.
