Abstract :
Long coding time is the main problem in image compression based on Fractal at present, mainly due to its heavy computation of searching the best-match domain block for each range block. A fast compress image coding algorithm is proposed. At coding, the interpolation based on orthogonal multi-wavelets is used to compress the original image, and then use the basic fractal coding algorithm to compress; during decoding, the use of the basic fractal decoding algorithm to decode, and then use interpolation orthogonal multi-wavelet transform to restore the image. Experimental results show that compared to directly fractal code, this method reduces coding time, and signal to noise ratio, compression ratio, etc. have improved.
