  • Abstract
    The RFID technology can help the production managers to track and monitor the production process of a single product, which will greatly support the accurate supervisory control of discrete manufacturing systems. Based on our previous work [7], we apply the RFID technology to the Internet-based remote supervisory control of an experimental one-of-a-kind production system. In this paper, we present the fundamental technologies of RFID-based data acquisition, data communication and remote supervisory control for this system. Experiment was done to verify the feasibility of these technologies.
