Double crank four ring-plate-type pin-cycloidal gear planetary drive is a new-type drive with new drive principle. In order to reduce weight of the whole drive, the method of shape optimization of ring-plate in the double crank ring-plate-type pin-cycloidal gear planetary drive was derived. It bases on the principal idea of structural boundary strength optimization method, makes use of APDL in FEA software ANSYS, realizes automatically the description and dispersal of model, that is, the finite element mesh is divided automatically. This method is suitable for the shape optimization of engineering structural.
