  • Abstract
During researching the skinned mesh object about person, some questions based on hierarchical bounding volume and collision detection are analyzed. On the base of studying OBB´s inherent characteristics, OBB tree generation is also improved. And the collision detection algorithm and some problems needs to be attended are given; the experiment demonstrates that the efficiency has improved significantly and could fit the demand for the collision detection of complex 3D characters. This method can be applied to the FPS (First Person Shooting) game,3D Character simulation game; path finding in Robotics as well as virtual tactics to improve efficiency of 3D articulated character collision detection.
