Abstract :
Chemical Grid is a collaborative grid platform based on CGSP (China Grid Support Platform) and provides a grid computing environment for various chemical applications. On this platform we constructed a knowledge service architecture using Semantic Web technology, in particular RDF (Resource Description Framework), to integrate heterogeneous chemical information, generate domain knowledge and provide knowledge service for researchers. Furthermore, we designed a Chemical Knowledge Representation Model consisting of a stack of languages, and brought out a RDF/S-Graph model to represent semantic property and relationships of these data. All extracted chemical domain knowledge, i.e. RDF data and service mechanism compose a Semantic Grid, which is an experience on grid computing platform and is a innovative effort of the Semantic Web.
