Abstract :
A remote monitor system for airport lights of Taiyuan international airport was developed, based on the PLCC (power line carrier communication) technique and fault diagnosis technique, and airport lights inspection automation was realized. Using PLCC technique can avoid laying communication cable, also reduce cost. The operation state of lights can be real-time monitored and the time of trouble shooting was saved at the same time, the maintenance efficiency was also boosted greatly. The key techniques: PLCC and LAN (local area network) signal modulation and demodulation communication based on TCP/IP (transmission control protocol/internet protocol) were studied in this paper. The monitor system improves airfield lighting system reliability and guarantees the safety of air- planes when taking off and landing.
