  • Abstract
    Static Synchronous Compensator can be taken as a nonlinear system, which exists in the nonlinear problem during its operation, such as chaos. So, these instability phenomena cannot be predicted in system. This research will enhance to analyze some existing phenomena; on the other hand, the new design methods and control strategies may be possible to be developed by these researches to achieve some properties available of STATCOM. The paper analyses the chaos phenomena of the STATCOM, discusses theory of chaos how to control direction research of the STATCOM. And look into the distance the prospective of chaos in STATCOM.
