    In mechanical product structure design phase, the evaluation of it´s structure performance is an multiple targets and several arrangements problem in the evaluation of the system. Taking CNC spiral bevel and hypoid gear machine tools as an example, using the method of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)the evaluation index system of machine tools structure adaptability is established. Based on product performance such as static performance and dynamic performance evaluation indexes, the evaluation model of adaptability is built. By giving the essentiality of mutual influence between the various factors, the indexes level of the single ranking system and the total target are obtained. The research has guiding sense to the structural design and redesign of machine tools.
