  • Abstract
In order to timely and accurately locate the physical position of illegal intrusion workstation in indoor WLAN environment, based on shadowing model, one of the most popular wireless signal strength reduction process, some position techniques in indoor WLAN are given in this paper. Our researches include how to layout sensors reasonably within a certain scope and how to calculate the position of intrusion workstation according to the signal strength received by the sensors. Although the intrusion workstation can randomly adjust its signal transmit power, it is still effective to resist the accuracy reducing result by use of the introduced location method. The actual test result shows the location error is about 2.3m on an average, which meet the requirement of intrusion workstation positioning in indoor environment.
