Abstract
Emergency response and rescue process in chemical accidents is the representative of discrete event dynamic system. In order to dynamic evaluate the emergency response capability in chemical accidents, the paper introduced Petri net for the modeling and analysis of emergency response process in chemical accidents, analyzed its structure, and obtained some important measures for performances analysis of the process. The research result shows that the methodology is simple and reasonable for emergency response capability evaluation, which can greatly help fire commanders to identify weaknesses in response capability and to optimize the rescue teams in chemical accidents.
