Vibration has strong effects on working condition of hydraulic gate. Vibration measuring point layout and testing system design of a water-control project are discussed in this paper. By vibration testing and analysis, the relationship between the gate vibration and operation condition is obtained. The research results can provide valuable experience and references to operation in the future. It shows that the vibration of gate is transient, wide-range and excited. Structural resonance is very easy to be induced. The pier is in safety. Based on the adequate data, the mechanism of flow-induced vibration can be studied further.
