Abstract

GIS (Geographic Information System) technology has a great advantage in the management and the conservation of cultural heritage. Due to the problems in the original data acquisition, management and utilization during the morphological research on architectural heritage, it is possible and also necessary to apply spatial database technology of GIS to the research. A preliminary design scheme of architectural heritage form database is put forward in this paper. And the supporting effects of the database on morphological research are also expatiated.
