Abstract
Based on our deep research in the last two years, our approach to implementing a cluster based real-time video surveillance system (VSS) has two features: (1) dynamic load cluster management mechanism is applied to automatic surveillance tasks dynamic assignment; (2) active blackboard is used as a service-load monitoring in the system. In this paper, we firstly explain the above-mentioned two features of VSS in detail; here we list our main idea in brief. Further more, we focus on key technologies such as dynamic load cluster management mechanism and active blackboard based load monitoring. Then, we take a register service as a redirect service, which provides an internet link that redirects clients to the desired services. In addition, the register service is also employed to maintain the real information of other services and clients. We build redundant service clusters, and then the same function services form a cluster. Finally, a least-loaded service is automatically selected to be accessed by clients through active blackboard based dynamic load cluster management mechanism.
