  • Abstract
    Willemite (α-Zn2SiO4) doped with manganese and Tb-doped yttrium alumina garnets (Y2.85 Tb 0.15 Al5O12), were synthesized using sol-gel technique. Photo-, cathodoluminescence and luminescence under X-ray excitation were investigated and under all types of excitation the samples revealed green visible to the naked eye luminescence at room temperature.
