Abstract
The propagation of the short electromagnetic pulse in the turbid medium is studied on the basis of equivalence of the radiative transfer theory and coherence functions approach. It is shown that traditional Markovian approximation suffers from the systematic error due to neglected propagation path length distribution. The corrected solution of the problem is derived and analyzed.
