Abstract
The self-service guiding system and ward electronic bulletin board system are added in the traditional hospital information system (HIS). The touch-screen of the self-service guiding system could be installed in the outpatient lobby. It helps patients to find out and choose a doctor or an expert by the sick site. Ward electronic bulletin board system provides visit-time and other safety knowledge or information for visitors. With the idea of pervasive computing, the actual hospital services could be integrated with virtual services in the information space. Then patients would get information services easily. In this way, Hospital Information System will be more effective and the efficiency and service quality will be improved.
