Abstract :
Various network security technologies have emerged to effectively defend electronic commerce websites from the increasing threats of hackers. They include the IDS-based honey-pot technology for active defense against intrusion, software and hardware firewall technologies and several other technological applications. In comparison with the firewall technology which has been widely applied, honey-pot technology has more threotical research but less practical applications. This dissertation studies the network security of the e-commerce websites of small and medium-sized companies. According to the specific network disposal of story.ebrun.com, a single type of combinational network defense technology is designed, which effectively combines both honey-pot technology and hardware & software firewalls. This technology will then be incorporated to commercial websites so as to achieve some considerable defense results.
