Abstract :
The software radio is the best way to do signal processing and computing of the navigation satellite and the 3G system. By analyzing the requirements of UMTS/WCDMA signal processing capacity based on software radio, the characteristics that software radio signal processing algorithms should have have been concluded. According to the processing requirements and system characteristics, three kinds of hardware architecture which are multi-DSP architecture, FPGA-based SoPC Embedded architecture and multi-DSP + multi-FPGA architecture are proposed and elaborated in detail. Then these architectures are compared comprehensively from the respects such as performance, power, integration and so on. Finally a summary of these hardware architectures are given in the form of table, which supply important theoretical and technical reference for the development and application of software radio platform.
