Abstract
Dose calculation plays an important role in radiation treatment planning system. In this paper, collapsed cone convolution method for photon dose calculation was investigated. Based on coordinate transformation and fast ray tracing technology, dose was calculated according to the collapsed cone convolution algorithm on Visual C++ 6.0 platform, and compared with that calculated by DOSXYZnrc Monte Carlo program. The results show that the speed and accuracy of dose calculation is guaranteed by collapsed cone convolution algorithm.
