Abstract :
We propose frequency (spectral) domain Doppler optical coherence tomography to qualitatively measure red blood cell aggregation. Variance/standard deviation of the Doppler frequency spectrum in Doppler variance imaging of flowing blood under shearing conditions was developed as a new aggregation index.
