Abstract :
Biochemical reaction network simulation is the core task in the new virtual cell simulation technology, because it carries out a lot of complex biochemical reactions. A new general algorithm is proposed to simulate the biochemical reactions in virtual cell using multi-agent. The algorithm is based on a deterministic algorithm for biochemical reactions in virtual cell. It overcomes the shortcoming of deterministic algorithm which can only be used for the same type´s reactions, and the deterministic algorithm can not expand to other network of biochemical reactions. The algorithm completed the design and implementation in Cougaar development platform. Test results are mostly consistent with biological experiments after the system is used to simulate the heat shock response reaction.
