  • Abstract
    The quality of peucedanum has an important influence on its efficacy. The UV-Vis two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy based on pH perturbation was designed to identify the peucedanum quality (wild or planting, flowered or no flowered). Peucedanum water extracts were mixed with Britton-Robison buffer (pH 3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9), and its UV-visible spectra was recorded. The raw spectra were preprocessed with 15 points first-order differential, and then were analyzed by two-dimensional correlation. The synchronization maps of four peucedanum were similar; the asynchronous maps were different in peak number and location from which identification purpose were achieved. It was a novel method, two-dimensional correlation analysis based on pH perturbation, of identifying peucedanum quality.
