Comparative Study on Two Types of Electric Control Pressure Amplifier Applied to Augment Common-Rail Injection System

Abstract :
Augment Common-Rail Injection System (ACRS) could realize multilevel injection pressure and adjustable injection rate (square ramp shoot). So it could match operate state of diesel engine well, and has vast potential for reducing the emission of high-power diesel engine. The principle of Electric Control Pressure Amplifier (ECPA) of ACRS was analyzed. The simulation and the experimental investigation about the ECPA had been completed. In order to improve the pressure ratio and reduce the fuel consumption and eliminate the pressure oscillation, in this paper, the New ECPA (NECPA) was designed. The model for the NECPA was established and the studies based on this model were completed. The results indicated that the NECPA could solve those problems, so the stability and reliability of the system could be improved greatly.
