Abstract :
A great deal of duplication of labor exists in the three dimensional design process of a crane gantry. The design knowledge and the experience cannot be inherited effectively. To solve the problems and improve design efficiency, a knowledge driven method is proposed to realize rapid design. The overall system frame is constructed and the design process is formulated. The classification method of design knowledge is presented and a knowledge base´s structure is constructed. The case-based reasoning and the rule-based reasoning integrate to reason new plan on the basis of design templates and a new three dimensional model of crane gantry is generated by using parameterized method. Finally the re-development is accomplished on Solid Works platform to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
