Abstract
Glucomannan extracted from konjac was sulfated (konjac oligo-glucomannan sulfate, OGMS) to show selective anti-hepatitis B virus activity in vitro using HepG2-2.2.15 cell line as the host cell of Hepatitis B virus. OGMS straight inhibited the secretion of HBsAg, HBeAg and HBV-DNA Replication in HepG2-2.2.15 cell by ELISA and FQ-PCR. The studies indicated that OGMS mainly acted as an HBsAg inhibitor by and its IC50 was 0.2675 mg/mL by Reed-Muench method; HBV-DNA Replication was inhibited as well. All these indicated that OGMS had evident in vitro anti-hepatitis B virus activity.
