Abstract :
Blowing and drifting snow disaster has caused great inconvenience to road traffic. It is necessary to take measures to slow down and avoid the climate disaster. The reasons of road hazard in blowing and drifting snow climate were discovered. This paper described the general formation mechanism of the blowing and drifting snow, considered the seasons that caused the snow damage for different embankment cross section types, and proposed different cross-sectional design of anti-snow embankment. It also analyzed a section of Boketu to Yakeshi freeway in Inner Mongolia for case, and proposed its embankment cross section design.
