  • Abstract
    Brightness and Greenness component tasseled cap transformation parameters for the four bands of HJ-1B CCD2 image were developed on the basis of the image acquired on October 14, 2009 which covered the Beijing area of China. Then the scatter plot between the Brightness and Greenness component of the subset image which covered Gaoantun landfill was used to classify the image into the non-landfill and pseudo-landfill class. According to the ratio of Band 2 and Band 3 (B2/B3), the pseudo-landfill class was classified into Gaoantun landfill and the others. Finally Gaoantun landfill was extracted through post classification. The results show that integrated B2/B3 with the tasseled cap transformation of HJ-1B CCD2 image can be used to extract the landfill covered with artificial impervious membrane.
