Abstract :
Our dear friend and colleague, Karl J. Langenberg, passed away on May 22, 2014, at the age of 72, after a short battle with cancer. With Karl, we lost a truly international scientific leader in elastodynamic and electromagnetic wave theory, wellknown and highly regarded in our scientific community. We will deeply miss him.
